- studied Jazz at the HfM/Conservatory "Hanns Eisler"(2000-2004) in Berlin and at the City College in New York City (2006-2007)
- studied with, among others: Tony Malaby, John Ruocco, Gebhard Ullmann, Rich Perry, Volker Schlott, John Pattitucci, George Garzone
- 2002-2004: member of Peter Herbolzheimer´s BuJazzO (German Federal Youth Jazz Orchestra), member of the band's concert line-up from 2003-2004
- 2004: recipient of the Berlin Senate Jazz studio award with "four in a row"
- 2006-07: recipient of a scholarship from the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) to study in New York City (CCNY)
- 2007: finalist and award recipient at the Concours International of the JazzParade Fribourg, Switzerland
- CD releases: with "four in a row" in 2004 on the Cologne-based label JazzHausMusik and as bandleader with the "Uli Kempendorff Quartet" in 2007 on phonector (new album will be out in spring 2010) and with "four in a row" and Gerlinde Kempendorff in 2007 on phonector
